  3. Your company name should be unique in the province of Saskatchewan, not similar to any other existing company names or trademarks, and should not be misleading.ย 
  4. Words like โ€œUniversity,โ€ โ€œBank,โ€ or โ€œTrustโ€ require special approval.
  5. You canโ€™t use words like โ€œ Saskatchewanโ€, โ€œSKโ€, โ€œSaskโ€, and โ€œCanadaโ€ in your companyโ€™s name.ย 
  6. Company names must be in roman characters (Aโ€“Z, 0โ€“9), although basic symbols like hyphens and apostrophes are allowed. Non-standard characters are prohibited.
  7. If you want to use your personal name, a written consent form is required.ย 
  8. The name approval usually takes 7 to 10 days.ย 
  9. Once approved, your name is reserved for 90 days. If not used within that period, it must be re-reserved.
